About HypeSquad

HypeSquad is a new app built by a PSU alum with a simple mission: making it easier for students at Penn State to find their squad. We're creating a friendship-first platform to help students connect for everything from study sessions and football games to finding their core group of friends. We are pre-launch and building our founding team of student leaders who will define the social culture of HypeSquad on campus.

This is more than just a job; it's a chance to be on the ground floor of a startup built specifically for the community.

The Role

As a Student Brand Ambassador, you will be the face, voice, and creative engine of HypeSquad at Penn State. You are a natural connector who is just as comfortable creating a viral TikTok as you are talking to students on campus. This role combines on-the-ground marketing with social media content creation.

• Be a key part of the HypeSquad launch strategy at University Park.
• Promote the HypeSquad waitlist and app through word-of-mouth and on-campus events.
• Create and star in engaging short-form video content (TikToks, Reels) that reflects authentic PSU culture.
• Manage our Instagram and TikTok accounts, posting consistently and engaging with the community.
• Provide direct feedback to the founder to help shape the App's features and future.

• A currently enrolled Penn State student with a desire to build strong campus network.
• Creative, witty, and full of ideas for fun, engaging video content.
• Outgoing and passionate about connecting people, with involvement in student organizations or clubs or other campus communities.
• Deeply familiar with TikTok and Instagram trends, sounds, and editing styles.
• A leader who isn't afraid to take initiative.
